'The Orchard', el nuevo disco de Lizz Wright es su tercer trabajo para Verve, una elegante mezcla de jazz y canción americana, que suena a clásico en la voz de esta artista.
El próximo 12 de febrero verá la luz 'The orchard', el próximo álbum de la cantante de jazz Lizz Wrigt. Poco después llegará la gira promocional de esta joven cantante de jazz.

Comenzó cantando gospel y tocando el piano de pequeña en la iglesia. Sus inicios de remontan al año 2000 con el cuarteto vocal 'In the spirit', el que formó parte unos años.
Aun así, el 11 de julio de 2002, Lizz Wright era una cantante prácticamente desconocida en la lista de artistas de un concierto homenaje a Billie Holiday en el Orchestra Hall de Chicago. Veinticuatro horas después nació una estrella gracias a sus interpretaciones de 'I cover the waterfront' y 'Don't explain', que dejaron al público maravillado.
Una semana después, en otro homenaje a Holiday en el Hollywood Bowl de Los Ángeles, Wright volvió a adueñarse del espectáculo, ya que canta con una madurez que sorprende dada su juventud.
Su debut de doce canciones para Verve, 'Salt', fue co-producido por la leyenda de la industria Tommy LaPiuma, el gran batería y compositor Brian Blade y el arreglista Jon Cowherd.
La mezcla ecléctica de bases del jazz y pop y sus propias composiciones: 'Salt', 'Blue rose', 'Eternity', 'Fire' y 'Silence' demuestran que tiene un don único marcado por un contralto sólido y una inclinación por el drama contenido. Ha publicado dos discos en solitario: 'Salt', en 2003 y 'Dreaming Wide Awake', en el año 2005.
